Plot Summary: Tohru Honda is 16 year old orphaned girl who gets invited to live in the house of her classmate, the handsome boy Sohma Yuki, and his cousins, 16 year old Kyo and 27 year old Shigure. However, these young men and parts of the rest of their family (both close and distant) hold a curse; if they are hugged by the opposite gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Everyday is an adventure for sweet Tohru, as she gets to know all of the very different members of the Sohma family better (especially Yuki and Kyo), in both common and bizarre situations. But, the Sohma family curse is certainly no laughing matter… it also holds horrible cruelity and heartbreak.
I have read almost all of the manga, this is really good. Lots of laughs, sadness and many other emotions. This is probanly one of my favourite mangas. It’s very sweet and nice and the style of drawing is great. It’s not too bad to read, It’s one of the most popular manga around now. Everyone will enjoy the comedy parts most of the time, and some will enjoy most the emotional parts like the sadness and romantic parts. I have seen the anime and read almost all the manga, the cut of pretty much a lot of the sences from the manga but it still followed the storyline, which is nice. It wouldn’t had better in the anime if they added in the rest of the characters. Overall pretty damn good+funny!
